By Zap2it has a good article on Season 5 of my favorite FX show, The Shield, which starts tonight. Forest Whittaker will appear in half of the episodes as Vic Mackay's nemesis, the head of the Internal Affairs Division. One of the themes driving this season is Vic's murder of Terry Crowley in the pilot episode. I was never so shocked by any TV show as by that event! Reed Diamond played Crowley. Diamond was fresh off of Homicide, so I assumed he was a series regular. There's also good news for Mulholland Drive (greatest lesbian scene of all time) fans: Laura Harring will play an attorney on the show. I betcha Vic gets her all naked and compromised by the time her stint is over! Nuff said.
