Joe Casey: A Real American Hero!
I wanna draw your attention to a real American writer, cowpokes! Mr. Joe Casey! I just read this here announcement that Mr. Joe is writin’ a new GIJOE series from Devil’s Due, yoo-hoo! If that ain’t a cause for celebratin’ with a Schlitz malt liquor, I don’t know what else could be.
Joe Bob and I think that Mr. Joe is last bastion of freedom over there at Mighty Marvel. At a time when Bendis is uprootin’ the Avengers, Mr. Joe says hold on there you liberal bald feller, this is how it should be done: Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes! Yessir, this was the super-team back in the glory days, when Hulks were speakin’ and Giant-Men were tweakin’ with Wasps. We bought each and every issue! Now we got word here at the U.S.1 Utilitarian Union HQ that Mr. Joe is gonna be givin’ the same treatment to the FF in a mini-series called First Family. We can’t wait! I’m wonderin’ if this will answer a burnin’ question in my mind: did Sue Storm’s bust size increase after the cosmic rays hit her? She was pretty flat in FF #1!
We also like Mr. Joe’s series The Invincibles over there at Wildstorm, it’s a pretty funny story about cutups in super-high school. Makes me wish I had graduated! We don’t think Mr. Joe gets the respect that he deserves, so go over to his column at CBR and give a salute to a real patriot! Go Joe! Nuff said.
